About Me
Here you will discover in writing what you have seen in the galleries, my true nature, the one formed in Maine and honed on the West Coast. Being a true Mainer, despite the many years away, the description will be brief. I have a small home studio in the Pacific NW. It fits me perfectly.
My Process
I paint, draw, print, glue and stitch. Most often the subject is a still life or people. My inspiration is the beauty of humanity and our surroundings. I create art that depicts my unique view of the elements of life I hunger for: Beauty and Humanity.
How do I do it? I look, I get lost, I start, I look again and I start again.

Bio
My art journey started in Phil Sylvester's Drawing studio in Portland Oregon in 1995. I was thrilled to find out that there were many ways to draw, realism being only one option of many. We often had a model and it is still my favorite subject to draw. Since then I have taken up painting, mono-printing, collage, and textile design. Studying with local and nationally known artists.
